Join us for a fun Children’s Art Webinar with Artist and Art Teacher Grainne Roche, Grainne will discuss the artist, demonstrate how to work in the artist’s style and set children to work on their own creations.
Improvise at home by using any materials you have or prefer. Demo will be in pen, pastel, paint & inks. Any paint is fine! preferably acrylics .

Raphael for kids
Saturday 13th – 4:30 – 6pm
Kids are invited to enter a world of classical beauty and fairy-tail creatures at this fun and educational online workshop on the Renaissance artist – Raphael! We will learn the story of the famous artist, look at his wonderful paintings and create a copy of his famous painting under the guidance of our trainer artist. We will draw and we will paint together!
1-hour-20-mins workshop
During the event, kids will be able to receive step-by-step guidance and practical tips on how to create the classical beauty and how to draw a baby unicorn!
Recommended Age: 6-9
Level: beginner
Required for the class:
Computer, iPad, Smartphone and access to wifi
Paper, graphite pencil, eraser, gouache or acrylic paints (or crayons) and small paintbrushes.

Live Active Family Wellbeing Sessions
Tuesday 4pm and Thursdays 09:30
We’re excited to share with you that over the coming weeks you will have the opportunity to join in with some live Active Family Wellbeing sessions on our Actif Conwy Facebook page.
Developing co-ordination, strength and gentle flexibility, these sessions will be a fun and engaging way for you and your child to exercise, learn and relax together at home or in your garden. Classes will contain a combination of Tai chi, secular yoga, stories, songs, blended mindfulness practices, themed games and lots of imaginative interaction! Enjoy learning breathing techniques and gently ease aches and pains as we stretch, energise and explore what bite size moments of relaxation feel like together.
These sessions are aimed at children 4 – 12 years old with their family members at home. Please tag your friends to let them know about the upcoming free classes and make sure you’re following our Facebook page so you don’t miss any updates and can see the sessions when they go live!

The L A Cinema ‘Film Quiz’ returns for its ninth week during the government lockdown.
It’s FREE to take part and streams live every Friday at 20:30pm for a duration of ninety minutes. The quiz comprises of ‘five’ rounds and a total of ‘fifty’ questions. Answers will be revealed at the end!
This weeks topics include: Stanley Kubrick films, the Science Fiction genre, film music, world cinema and name that film from the noughties?
L A Cinema will also be recommending films and content watched during the week on Blu-Ray, DVD and streaming services such as Netflix, Mubi, the BFI Player, Amazon Prime and Disney Plus. We will also be continuing our ‘Desert Island Flicks’ segment, where so far I have taken Once Upon A Time In America, Heat, Citizen Kane and 2001: A Space Odyssey on a desert island. What will be my next choice?
