The central Pacific nation of Kiribati is one of the countries most vulnerable to climate change in the world. Sea level rise and increasing salinity are threatening the lives of 105,000 people spread over 33 atolls in this remote corner of the Pacific. It’s the same ocean, which for generations has sustained the country that is now the source of its destruction.
Hoffwn eich gwahodd i gyd i noson o ffilm gyda’r gwneuthurwr ffilmiau dogfen o fri Tom Zubrycki.
Bydd y noson i godi arian ar gyfer ein Gwrthryfel Difodiant lleol yng Ngogledd Cymru, Pobl i Bobl a Chroeso Menai – fel ymdrech ar y cyd i ddechrau mynd i’r afael â’r mater o Ffoaduriaid Hinsawdd. Mae Kiribati yn nghanol y Môr Tawel yn un o’r gwledydd yn y byd sy’n fwyaf agored i niwed o ganlyniad i gynhesu byd-eang. Mae cynnydd yn lefel a helltni’r môr yn bygwth bywydau 105,000 o bobl wedi’u gwasgaru ar draws 33 atol yn y rhan anghysbell hon o’r Môr Tawel. Yr un cefnfor a fu’n cynnal y wlad ers cenedlaethau sydd bellach yn bygwth ei dinistrio.
