He is also the star of BBC One’s Live At The Apollo, Would I Lie To You?, Channel 4’s 8 Out Of 10 Cats Does Countdown, BBC Two’s Mock The Week, ITV’s Play To The Whistle, ITV2’s Celebrity Juice and Sky’s A League of Their Own. And he is a host of Dave’s podcast, The Magic Sponge, alongside Jimmy Bullard and Ian Smith.

MAKE A FLOWER FAIRY: Drop by at the Old Mill in the Dell and create a fairy from silk flowers, pipe cleaners and beads. This guided craft activity takes place on 15,19 and 23 February, from 11.30am – 2.30pm.
SNOWDROP PLANTING: Join our gardeners planting snowdrops in the garden from Monday to Thursday 17-20 February, 11am – 1pm. All equipment is provided and you can plant one or one hundred; stay for five minutes or an hour. The more the merrier.

Learn about everything celestial as we celebrate our Dark Skies status in our first ever Dark Skies festival.
Over 4 days we’ll explore the night’s sky, learn about stars, constellations and planets, explore our traditions, cultural heritage and relationship with the night’s sky and find out how being a Dark Skies Reserve has a positive impact on our environment, nature and our lives.
Teaming up with Snowdonia National Park‘s Dark Skies team and Techniquest Glyndŵr we’ll bring the night’s sky indoors, during daylight hours – thanks to a 5 meter, 360 degree projection planetarium – the StarDome!
During the four days you will also have the opportunity to experience and celebrate other starry night activities including
– Dark Skies talks
– evening stargazing walks
– fireside star stories,
– nocturnal animal experiences,
– nature trails
– zodiac Tours.

Let us entertain you with one of our incredible shows down in the forest theatre, running every day from 17th – 20th February!
The Red Squirrel Trust will be with us on the 18th and 20th February. There will be a chance to create squirrel masks, build squirrel feeders and other squirrel crafts, all whilst learning interesting facts about red squirrels – so make sure you pay them a visit at the craft area!
For those rainy days, head inside the Woodbarn Play & Cafe – full of the latest indoor play. Young explorers will love it! Whilst the children play, parents can take a seat next to the cosy log burner and enjoy a coffee.
