Sunday and Monday – Rhuddlan Castle
Rhuddlan Castle will celebrate the 850th anniversary of the last medieval siege of Rhuddlan, fought in an age long before the construction of Edward’s castle. We will take you back to the age of the Welsh Prince Owain Gwynedd and the Lord Rhys and to the year 1166 AD, the year Wales united and defeated the forces of King Henry II.
You will be able to walk amongst the Welsh and Anglo-Norman (Angevin) encampments, talk to the warriors, traders and camp followers.
