Most Members of Llandudno Rotary are also involved in one or more local community endeavour, some examples being:-
Chernobyl Childrens Annual North Wales Holiday School Governors Youth Music Group Scouting Church Warden/Lay preacher University of the Third Age (U3A)
Another such example is our President, Rosalind Hopewell, who doubles up as Secretary of the local Lifeboats (RNLI) Support Group.
Recently, Rosalind was able to discharge both functions at the same time, when an intrepid couple ( James and Belinda) “clocked in” at the Llandudno Lifeboat Station as part of their personal fundraising challenge of touring all of the UK’s 238 Lifeboat Stations.
When Llandudno Rotary heard this was due to happen, a quick whip-round at our weekly meeting produced £85 which Rosalind was then pleased to present to the RNLI as our small contribution towards keeping things going.
Just one small example of how Rotary is both of the community and for the community.
