The Rotary Club of Llandudno and the Stroke Association recently teamed up as part of a national initiative to help raise awareness of the dangers of high blood pressure.
Dr. Ashok Harshey, with helpers Madhu, Suzi and Gill between them took the blood pressure of more than 80 passers-by in Mostyn Street, Llandudno the other Saturday (14th April) . Fortunately most could be reassured that their blood pressure levels were at an acceptable level, but some were advised to see their GP
As the Stroke Association points out
“Every five minutes stroke strikes in the UK, but with events like these, we hope to change this. A blood pressure test is quick and painless, and it could save your life.”
