A church in Llandudno has made itself a slightly unusual Christmas crib…… out of Lego
St Paul’s in Craig y Don has built the Lego nativity scene with the help of children from the area.
Over fifty hours of work went into planning and building the crib scene, which was constructed at St Paul’s monthly family service, and in activity sessions that the church runs with Springfield Day Nursery and Ysgol Bodafon.
Rev Noel Carter, rector of St Paul’s commented: “the children were very creative, from coming up with their own designs for sheep and angels, through to making detailed models of the shepherds, Mary and Joseph.
“Our favourites are the three kings, complete with gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh. We’re glad the children enjoyed putting the nativity scene together.”
The Lego crib will be on display in St Paul’s Church at services at 9.45am on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
