The second annual Bryn-Y-Maen exhibition took place on the 12th of May in Mr and Mrs Lewis’ fields on the B5113 road through BYM.
In 2017 a society was formed to reinstate the BYM show in order to preserve vintage agricultural machinery and rural crafts. The show was originally run in the 40s and briefly in the 70s & 80s.

This year activities in the main ring included changing a Tyre competition oversee by BYM mechnic Gareth Lloyd, Hand shearing demo by local farmer David who owns BYM farm and ‘Stan Hitch’ demo by Local inventor Stanley Roberts, also a BYM resident.
The children’s area was manned by local residents Joanne and Lucy Roberts from Marian Farm (who’s father Ronnie was involved with the original show back in 1980) which included handmade and painted stocks.
The children’s art exhibition which was open to local schools was by categories:
Children Under 7-‘The Tractor’
Children 7-11-‘Secret life of River’with badges & certificates given to the winning entrants.
