As winter begins to draw near to its end people may stop and wonder as to what they want to do…..maybe go for a walk, go out for some afternoon tea or even go for a train ride. People may want to do any number of different things. Rather amazingly one can find the perfect place to do this and more. Betws-y-Coed is a place filled with a wide selection of interesting places – from the mountains surrounding the area and the crashing water of the waterfall to the warm brew of the Alpine Cafe there is both calm and excitement.
A small hamlet of culture and curiosity there is always a little bit of something. One of the most curious things (in my opinion) would probably be the art gallery in support of animal rights. The level of creativity and passion surpasses some art you can find in more well known galleries.
So what is Betws-y-Coed? What can it be described as ? Betws-y-Coed is a place of wonder. A place that is so alien it’s unreal with things that are never truly commonplace majoritively – it is a unique center of culture and wonder.
A true testament to what Wales is in a way. Surrounded by the wild alpine forests and bottletop rhinos to be found, its a place time and time again that manages to capture and hold my curiosity. Even if you’ve been before I humbly implore you to come again. It’s only a small train ride or a little drive away and there is always something new to do.
So if you are short on ideas this weekend for a family trip think of Betws-y-Coed and go and have fun !
